Frequently Asked Questions

This page is still a WIP, and will be added to in the near-ish future! Stay tuned!

General Questions

“Can I make my own?” Yes! Amphimorpho are an open species, you're free to make as many as you'd like!

“What about adoptables?” That's also fine! Please be sure to credit me for the species, however! I also ask that any adoptables not be made on my free-to-use bases!

“Can I make merchandise featuring amphimorpho?” Yeah, as long as it’s your own art/art you have the rights to and not mine! I’d also like to be credited where applicable!

“Do they have to follow canon?” Not necessarily! At their core, they're simply shapeshifting creatures, and I think they'd adapt nicely to whatever settings and stories you have in mind for them!

“Is NSFW content of them allowed?” Yep! It's not really any of my business what you do with your characters, go nuts!

Design Questions

“What traits can amphimorpho have/not have?” Given their nature as shapeshifters, anything’s possible! Give them wings and neon colors, make them a hybrid of another species, or anything else your heart desires; the sky’s the limit!

“Do I have to buy any traits?” Nope! Amphimorpho are a 100% open species!

“Can I give my amphimorpho a bowtie marking?” The bowtie marking of my fursona, Tux, is a very recognizable signature trait of theirs…I don’t think I can necessarily stop you from having one as well, but don’t go copying my look too much, y’know? That being said, other shaped chest markings are more than welcome!

Other Questions

“Are all amphimorpho capable of turning others into amphimorpho?/ Are they always infectious?” Canonically speaking, the ability to turn others into amphimorpho is limited only to individuals carrying specific strains of the eponymous virus. It’s not necessarily a core trait of the species as a whole! Carriers are also typically only infectious part of the time, though how frequent that is varies between individuals and specific viral strains!

“What is the species’ canon lore? / What does ‘canon’ refer to on this website?” All of the lore and info for this species has been written according to the canon I established for my webcomic Meet Me in the Woods. Technically speaking, though, you could say there’s two similar, but separate, existing canons, which are differentiated merely by events and character roles:

The Delta (Δ) canon is where Meet Me in the Woods takes place; it follows a strict line of events with specific characters that I’ve already established in order to create the story.

The Theta (Θ) canon is a more open-ended interpretation of the former, with a little more emphasis on worldbuilding and playing around! Some characters from MMITW overlap into here, but they’re not necessarily involved in a rigid plot, and may perform slightly different roles in the setting - basically, this is the canon for folks who wanna roleplay and worldbuild with their own characters within this universe! The in-universe portions of this website are written with this canon in mind!
